Where did Pato's effort against Barca rank amongst the fatest goals in Champions League history? We brings you the top 10.
Alexandre Pato has joined an elite group of players after scoring one of the fastest goals in the Champions League during AC Milan's 2-2 draw at Barcelona on Tuesday evening.
It took the 22-year-old just 24 seconds to score the very first goal of the 2011-12 Champions League group stage campaign when he dissected the Barcelona backline by slipping the ball in between them and then effortlessly out-pacing two defenders before coolly slotting his shot past Victor Valdes.
The Brazilian's goal is the fifth fastest in the history of the Champions League, eclipsing the 25-second stunner by Dejan Stankovic for Inter against Schalke just five months ago in last season's quarter-finals. It also made Pato the fourth player from an Italian team to chart inside the top six of the competition's list of early goals.

Following Pato's wonderful solo strike, we now present you with the list of the 10 quickest goals in Europe’s premier club competition.
