Alexandre Pato has joined an elite group of players after scoring one of the fastest goals in the Champions League during AC Milan's 2-2 draw at Barcelona on Tuesday evening.
It took the 22-year-old just 24 seconds to score the very first goal of the 2011-12 Champions League group stage campaign when he dissected the Barcelona backline by slipping the ball in between them and then effortlessly out-pacing two defenders before coolly slotting his shot past Victor Valdes.
The Brazilian's goal is the fifth fastest in the history of the Champions League, eclipsing the 25-second stunner by Dejan Stankovic for Inter against Schalke just five months ago in last season's quarter-finals.
