Goalkeepers are often careful to look over their shoulder before releasing their grip on the ball, but sometimes they don't. And it's then that we get moments like this.
In a recent J-League match, Kashima Antlers trailed Cerezo Osaka 1-0 in the first half when a free kick ended up safely in the hands of Cerezo keeper Jin-Hyeon Kim. Feeling confident, comfortable and maybe a little hungry, Kim dropped the ball to his feet while watching his teammates run upfield, not realizing that Kashima's Yuzo Tashiro was right behind him like Michael Myers.
As soon as Kim let go of the ball, Tashiro struck -- swiping the ball from the keeper and scoring on an empty net to equalize. Jin-Hyeon Kim and Cerezo Osaka would not recover, going on to lose 3-1. And from now on, Kim will probably check behind him, even while brushing his teeth.
