Are you trying to figure out how to make money blogging with the right keywords.
How to make money blogging with the right keywords can trip a lot of people up coming online for the first.
Google and all the other search engines rely heavily on it to rank you. It is important to get this correct, for it will get your blog ranked a whole lot quicker if you take the time to do it right; and (note) for that extra HALF hour it takes to search out a good keyword it will pay you dividends over and over, once you find that keyword.
There are plenty of free keyword research tools available on the Internet today to get you started, Googles keyword tool, SEO book, Wordtracker are to name a few that will get you started, you can play around with these platforms and get used to them, they’re really not that difficult to catch on to.
When you do need to go advanced, there are plenty of keyword research tools to choose from that have a monthly price tag attached and some that are just a one off payment – are they worth it, yes, once you need to go advanced and pay for it, you’ll have a lot more data at your fingertips, so if you’ve come to a point where your free keyword tools just aren’t giving you that final touch any more and you see you’re not ranking as highly, go for the paid version and you’ll begin to see a difference over night.
1). Your Main Headline:
Some of you probably know this already, but I know there’s still plenty that don’t. In-fact, there’s a whole lot that can’t seem to wrap their head around SEO, but it really doesn’t have to be that difficult. It’s always good practice to get your chosen keyword or key-phrase into your headline first.
When looking for a keyword to suit what you want to write about, it’s best to go for a long keyword phrase with three or more words in it. A keyword with one or two words in it – (ex). (Internet marketing), is very broad and will be very hard to compete for, usually these keywords that are just a single word or two words, have been snapped up a long time ago in the earlier days when competition wasn’t as difficult to rank for; leaving it easier to rank in the top ten, also the websites and blogs that are using them have been around for quite a while giving them recognition.
Other companies that are using these one and two keyword terms are big name companies and have a lot to spend which doesn’t really effect them. They just pay big bucks to get ranked in that no1 position, that’s why you want to broaden your keyword out to three, four, five keywords phrases and beyond, so it leaves it a lot easier to rank for.
2). Sub-headline:
Always put the same keyword that you’ve found you want to write about in the sub-headline, as well as your main headline. Search engines want to see it, so it good practice to get it in there too. Another thing to know here, have your sub-headline in a H2 format and italicise it also.
When the likes of Google comes to your Website or blog, there looking for what you tell them stands out for recognition – so when they first crawl your site they see the main keyword first, which should be a H1 format, then they’ll start to go deeper into your blog, so the next thing they come across is your sub-headline. Leaving your sub-headline formatted with a H2 and italicising it lets search engines know there’s importance attached.
3). Your First Paragraph:
As soon as you start to write in the body of your text, try and place your keyword or keyword phrase at the very start of your first paragraph, if you think your first line is not going to read well, then just try to get it in somewhere in the first paragraph. If you look at my keyword for this post which is how to make money blogging with the right keywords, I have it in my main headline, also in my sub-headline, then in the first paragraph and here in this paragraph, which brings us forward to placing it somewhere in the middle portion of your body of text also.
If you read this paragraph again, you’ll see I’ve used my keyword in here. Try to place your keyword somewhere in the middle of the body of text you’re writing about. It’s also good practice to try and hyperlink your keyword, as I’ve done above in the first paragraph and in this paragraph, so as it lets search engines see that you’re linking out to other sites that can give the reader on your blog an option if they like, to get further reading that may help.
Try though not to be linking out to websites or blogs that would be in direct compatition with you and this brings us to the next part where you’ll want to finially use your keyword in the closing paragraph of your text, I’ll not place it here yet for I’m not quite finished, but bear in mind to look out for it when your reading the finial part.
So lets sumarise what we’ve just covered here.
- Have your keyword or key phrase placed within your title.
- Have your keyword or key phrase placed within the sub-headline, use H2 and italicize it.
- Place your keyword or keyprase in the opening of your text body and try to link out.
- Also place it in the middle of your body of text somewhere and try to link out.
- Then have your keyword at the end of your body of text and try to link out.
Remember, don’t plaster your keyword all over the place, that will be seen as spamming. Have it in your headline, sub-headline and three times throughout the body of text, if you do have a very long post – then you can include it a few time more throughout the body of your text, but don’t over do it, when placing it within a paragraph; leave the entire passage of the text easy to read, i.e., so that it reads naturally for the reader and the search engines.
One thing to know before I finish up…These same principles apply to article marketing also – they all carry the same format, so the way you carry keyword research out for your Websites or blogs should be the exact same layout you would do when writing articles for article directories.
OK, I did say watch out for the final paragraph where I would be placing my keyword
so here you are, you’re at the end and I hope I’ve given you a clearer understanding on how to make money blogging with the right keywords. Note the fact that I was using a keyword phrase here made up of nine words altogether, don’t be afraid to go for keyword phrases as long as this.
Here’s a TIP: when doing your research for your keyword, if people are actually typing in this term on a daily basis ,go for it, use it, but make sure it has at least 50 searches a day to make it worth while blogging about
